WHAT IS THE GLOBAL SHAPERS COMMUNITY?
Born out of the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community is a network of Hubs developed and led by young people under the age of 30. Shapers are exceptional in their potential, their achievements, and their drive to address local, regional, and global challenges. With more than 14,000 members, the Global Shapers Community spans 456 city-based hubs in 150 countries.
Our Malmö Hub was launched in 2019 by a group of young professionals committed to bringing positive change efforts to the region of Skåne. We are here to ensure that Malmö-based change-makers under 30 have a forum for collaboration with other stakeholders to maximise the impact of our actions.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?
If you are between 18–27, based in or near Malmö (for a minimum of one year), can commit at least 4 hours a week, and have the drive to achieve something extraordinary with social impact, then we would love to hear from you. We don't care what field of study/work you are in, what your background is, or if you plan to impact 5 or 50,000 people – we want to hear what makes you tick and how joining our community will enable you to achieve your goals and positively shape Malmö.
 
HOW TO APPLY
We are currently accepting applications for the 2024 rolling intake.  We will conduct interviews starting 10 April 2024,  our interview scheduling operates on a first-come first-served basis ensuring equal opportunities for all applicants.  Don't wait! APPLICATION PROCESS
Potential Global Shapers go through an application form first. We assess all applications based on a number of criteria such as demonstrated impact, ability to commit time, the value the applicant would get out of joining the Global Shapers Community, and what new things the applicant can bring to our hub. This ensures we remain a diverse hub representing our community.
Successful applicants will be invited for an interview, where we will have a conversation with you about your previous experiences, impact, your ambitions, and your rationale for applying to our hub.

Our application process is designed on principles of equal opportunity regardless of background, strives for fair assessment at all levels, and aims at ensuring that applicants are ready to dedicate the time and energy it takes to be part of our hub.
 
CAN I NONIMATE A SHAPER?
We do not have a formal nomination process, but you are very welcome to contact us via email if you believe you know someone who needs an extra push to apply to our hub. We will then reach out to the person and share information about our hub and how to apply.
